Getting tech and web right for a small business can be challenging. You need a website, social media, maybe you have a mailing list. But how to keep them ticking day after day? With an MSc in AI, 25 years working in IT and 10 years with WordPress, I solve technology problems for small businesses.

Work has always been about following my interests, learning, helping others and using the best tech. It’s how I chose my Psychology BA at one of Canada’s best liberal arts universities in Quebec. It’s how I got from there to an MSc in AI, then commercializing research, at The University of Edinburgh.

Though I've completed university education, I haven’t stopped learning. As IT Manager, I learned firsthand the tech needs of a cancer charity as it grew rapidly from 5 to 10 UK sites and doubled staff to 100. I installed their first Xserve (before anything "cloud") and experienced how a dispersed charity could benefit from tech. We linked all locations with a central fundraising CRM.

I pursued my interest in cutting-edge technology while commercializing AI/ML and robotics research. As a Senior Business Development Executive in Informatics at The University of Edinburgh, there was lots to learn, fast! I helped researchers turn their vision research into the top-funded Scottish university spinout of 2009. I helped protect IP, develop the team and business plan to maximize investor interest.
